COINING THE TERM “VISUAL HACKING” TO DRAMATIZE RISK AND MOTIVATE ACTION
KCwas hired by 3M Specialty Display Systems to develop an integrated campaign aimed at C-suite and IT security leaders to drive enterprise sales of 3M™ Privacy Filters.
In order to motivate the target to action, KC coined a new term—“visual hacking”—and developed a campaign to leverage the idea. This unique approach was designed to heighten the level of emotional intensity around visual breaches and highlight a major flaw in many organizations’ IT security plans. Namely, that traditional hacking prevention measures can’t stop visual hackers from potentially obtaining sensitive information from any unprotected mobile device or computer screen.
Protecting car enthusiast’s babies from catastrophic events.
The 3M™ Paint Defender System offers durable auto paint protection for do-it-yourselfers. The system helps protect a car’s paint against damage from rocks, bugs, salt, sand and more and lasts at least one year. The system sprays on to create a film that is durable, invisible and removable and at a fraction of the cost of expense dealer installed wraps.
KC helped launch the new system with the development of a campaign that dramatized the protective feeling car enthusiasts have about their cars while touting the product’s ease of use.
Harnessing the power of a built-in, passionate fan base of “Dipheads”
KC developed branded video content to highlight Plasti Dip’s breadth of color and enhancer products while building off the Diphead brand and personality. The videos will be posted on DipheadsUnite.com and shared across social media channels to stave off competition and add credibility to Plasti Dip’s leadership position in the marketplace.
One of Plasti Dip’s biggest assets is a near endless supply of user-generated content online. In order to harness that energy and join the conversation Plasti Dip needed a website that would act as a hub for loyal fans (which we dubbed “Dipheads”). The concept for the site is all about leveraging existing content, to have users share and create more – and of course show them where they can buy it themselves.

Dipheads are encouraged to share their DIY (Dip It Yourself) projects online with the hashtag #DipheadsUnite, and we repost the best on Plasti Dip’s social media accounts. From dipping kitchen appliances to frosting windows and pearlizing cars, Dipheads have done it all. We share their projects to inspire other fans and remind them that Plasti Dip is the original. Accept no imitators.
