We’re a Minneapolis-based advertising agency focused on brand strategy, media planning and creative execution in digital, social, print and broadcast media. Our experience includes everything from consumer package goods to business services.
We believe an agency’s work is the best proof of it’s philosophy. So we won’t go into too much detail on ours except to say that we have a simple mantra:
At the core of everything we do is truth.
There’s more to it than that, but we’d rather tell you in person. Because the truth is, a good conversation is always more interesting than reading a website.

New Hire at KC
We’re happy to announce that Jenny Peters has joined Kruskopf Coontz as an account supervisor. She previously worked as Manager of Client Services at Modern Climate and will bring her experience and expertise to our clients 3M and Transamerica.
The truth about Jenny is that her arms are currently chock-full of tape. Either she’s completely immersing herself in the 3M Medical Tape account or she’s a mummy. You decide. -

Promotion at KC
Audra Wendt, our Account Director since 2007, has just been promoted to Vice-President. While at KC, she’s worked with and helped grow brands like 3M, Transamerica Retirement Management, Sonus, BMW of Minnetonka and more. Her 15 years of account experience have given her a wide understanding of clients and their needs.
The truth about Audra is that she’s the only one at KC with a TV in her office. She also has a Netflix account. Coincidence? -

New Hire
Sam Sobieck, a graduate of St. Catherine University has joined KC as an intern this week. Sam brings a wealth of work experience with internships at NBC London, NBC Nightly News and Meet the Press, as well as considerable (little) people experience as a nanny. She loves the creative process and hopes to not only gain account experience but also finally organize the back storage room. Good luck.
The truth about Sam is that she’s best friends with Madonna. (Or at least did a video shoot at her house while working for NBC London). -

Kruskopf Coontz Selected By Transamerica Retirement Management In National Ad Firm Search
We're happy to announce that Kruskopf Coontz has been named a strategic marketing partner by Transamerica Retirement Management, Inc., one of the country’s leaders in financial and transition planning for retirement, located in St. Paul, Minnesota. KC won the assignment after a nationwide search that ended in a three-agency pitch.
“We’re thrilled with the news,” says Bill Coontz, President, Kruskopf Coontz. “Transamerica is an absolute leader in this industry and we’re excited to be bringing our deep understanding of the boomer generation. This was a very competitive pitch, but when it comes down to winning the business it’s always about creative concepts and ideas that solve problems.”
Effective immediately, Kruskopf Coontz will work with Transamerica Retirement Management to begin the work of building the brand and message platform for a soon-to-be-launched retirement and transition initiative. The program will also involve concepting and creation of comprehensive materials for financial advisors to help consumers through the retirement transition process as well as development of new business-to-business sales support materials and a lead generation program.
The first creative product for Transamerica Retirement Management is expected by Spring 2010.

Sue Kruskopf, CEO
Sue is our Queen Bee. Having spent the early part of her career working in a large agency on national brands, Sue decided it was time to offer clients something they’d never seen but always wanted. So in 1988, she opened the first of a new breed. It was founded on the philosophy that the best work happens when you bring senior talent together; nurture a culture free of big agency B.S.; and give everyone the freedom to solve problems in new ways for clients. To this day Sue continues to bring an entrepreneurial spirit to Kruskopf Coontz. Exemplified by the smart, creative people attracted to work here. She also provides strategic and creative insight on all accounts and new business efforts.
